Monday

This is the location of the Eye Clinic with next week's team.

It's almost time to put in the roof.

Look at what God has done this week!

Building relationships is the purpose of our mission!

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

This is how we are greeted every morning!

After a  wonderful day of rest yesterday, we greeted Monday with great excitement.  When we arrived at the worksite at 8:30, Pastor G was already at work.  We worked to complete the peaks on the 2 side walls.  Then, we cut notches in the top row to hold the roof beams.  Inside the house, we mixed mortar to make 3 berms to use tomorrow to level the floor.  Most of the team spent the day palying soccer with the neighborhood children as work at the house was limited to a small amount of space on the scaffolding.  Playing soccer may seem more like a recreation passtime, however, it is a great tool of ministry.  By spending time with the children, our team built relationships with the Hondurans.  Long after we leave, the memories of the Christians coming to their village representing Jesus will be etched into their hearts.

Tonight, we are signing a Bible that we purhased as a gift for the family.  We will present that to them tomorrow at the dedication of their house.  In addition to the Bible, we have purchased a lock for their new house.    During devotions tonight, we are taking a collection to present to the family to purchase groceries.  Because they have no electricity, and thus, no refrigeration, they are very limited with what they can keep at home to eat.  Because they have so little, they can only afford to eat 1 meal a day.   With the donations, they can purchase 2 weeks worth of food for all 11 in their family.

Tomorrow morning, we will install the metal roof and pour the concrete floor.  After giving the floor a chance to set up, we will have a dedication service with the family.  What an awesome week this has been...and its not even over!!!

Adios!
