Sunday in Honduras

This morning Brian, Ashley, Hannah, and Amanda made pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. We had about a thirty minute drive to church which started about nine. We were greeted with smiles and hugs from Pastor G's wife and kids.  We sang a few songs to begin the service and although I couldn't understand the words, the enthusiansm and love for God in the church brought tears into my eyes. Next Sarah, Mikerobert, David, and Emily gave their testamony. Mikerobert gave his testamony in spanish which was very special for us and the Honduran people. Once the children went to Sunday School Dr. Childress preached about Zacchaeus this morning. Then Pastor G addded to Dr. Chilress' sermon. When he noticed people were starting to fall alseep he shouted to wake everyone up! After church we hugged everyone good bye. It was a beautiful service, especially the singing.  -Sarah Jenkins

  1. That sounds amazing! I can't wait until I get the chance to experience something like that. I know that that service will be a hard one to forget!
