Happy Thursday! God is so good! We've had a day today! We arrived on the work site about 8:00 am this morning. The children on the Garcia family came running out giving the biggest hugs! We circled, introduced ourselves and had prayer with the family. By 9:00, the first block way down. It is customary for a family member to lay the first block. We all stopped while she placed the block and David led in a prayer of blessing on the block, the home and family.
It was not long before our team became a block laying machine. By lunch, we had finished 4 courses of block. We continue to remind ourselves that building relationships are more important than building buildings. Our team has been awesome with stopping to hug and love on the kds too.
Everyone is working hard and giving their all. Best of all, God is the one receiving the glory. It is incredibly hot, but no one has complained. We'll add more tonight. Have a great Thursday!
