Thursday Evening

Since our last post, we returned back to the jobsite and began laying block.  We finished the fifth course of block in about an hour.  It was very hot until the rain came.  Although it did not rain a lot, the clouds and breeze were a welcome relief.

Five courses of block was the goal for the day.  It was pretty amazing to see our teens mixing mortar, laying block, lifting buckets of sand and mortar and all the while smiling with the love of Christ.  Each team member has been awesome in discovering their gifts for mission service.

After returning to the mission house, we cleaned and had red beans, rice and fried plantains for dinner.  We are so thankful for the opportunity to be here this week.  It is an awesome invitation to be able to partner with God in God's work here in Choluteca.

Pray that we would rest well tonight and be ready for another day blessed by God's love and beauty as we seek to be faithful in our witness.

Adios!
Brian
